Halloween 2010

Halloween was so fun again this year. The girls get such a kick out of trick-or-treating and our neighborhood has a cul-de-sac that has a block party each year that is perfect for them to make the rounds. The little bumblebees were buzzing around stealing all the attention! They understand this year what chocolate and candy are so we are rationing it out, trying to avoid the sugar highs:) Before we hit the trick-or-treat trail, we were also able to attend a Halloween event that Brady's workplace held for their employees. It was a fun-filled day.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Even though the weather has been unseasonably warm this October, we enjoyed some fall activities. A couple of weeks ago, we went to McDonald's Ranch to their annual Pumpkin Patch. We had such a fun time there last year that we want to make it an annual event for our family. It was updated since last year and even more fun for the kids, if that is possible. The hit of the day was the petting zoo, in which all of the animals were loose and the kids were able to pet and enjoy them. The pony ride also got some excited squeals. A hay ride to the pumpkin patch and a hay maze rounded out the day.
I think the funniest moment of the day (and I was so excited that I caught it on camera) was when Olivia was saying goodbye to the pigs. She heard the pig make a snort like pigs do and was shocked, asked "What was that?" and then turned to me and said "He burped!" The things kids say sure are cute!

Our trip to Atlanta to visit the Nelsons

We have been wanting to travel to visit Blake (Brady's brother) , Kim, and their 6 beautiful girls (Amber, Amanda, Allie, Anna, Alaina, and Autumn) for some time now. We were finally able to fly out to Atlanta the end of September. They were so welcoming and we really enjoyed visiting with their family.

We arrived on Amber's 13th birthday! It is amazing to see her become such a sweet young lady. I still remember the first time I met her when she walked down the aisle as a flower girl in our wedding at 5 years old. Each of the girls has grown so much and we wish that we lived closer so that we could be there for these special moments.

The Nelsons live in Dawsonville, which from what I saw is mostly rolling green hills. Their house sits on one as well! They have a large yard where the kids can run and are backed up to a forest. It was really gorgeous and it was a great time of year to visit.

We visited an orchard and enjoyed its fruit and were able to visit the falls nearby which was absolutely beautiful! Forgive me for forgetting the name of the falls/state park name. Most of our pictures and footage were shot before this day since each one in my family got a 24 hour stomach virus one at a time. Thankfully I stayed healthy to take care of them. Despite this illness, we had good talks, good fun, and special time together. I hope we can find a way to visit more often.

Steve and Sue, Nick and Michelle visit AZ

This fall has been unusually eventful! September brought my Uncle Steve and Aunt Sue out to AZ. My cousin Michelle and her husband Nick and daughter Brianna also came. We enjoyed catching up together and enjoying some fun outings. We were able to go to the Children's Museum in Phoenix and all the girls had a really fun time. They had a large jungle gym to play on and many different rooms with activities from painting to play kitchen/grocery store. Kim and Mike brought her boys up one evening and we all ate dinner together. The highlight of this evening for the kids were the misters outside the restaurant. We were so glad to spend some time with our dear family and wish that they lived closer!
